One World Dream

About 5 years ago I started thinking a lot more about the future of our world and the type of earth we want to leave to our children.  After extensive research and contemplation it became frighteningly clear that if we don't make some very dramatic changes to our way of life very soon we likely won't have any world to leave to our children at all.

So where does this leave us?  The task is clearly too big for one person although every little bit will always help.  However, even with the green movement picking up more steam every day, the question is always there as to whether it will be enough.  Can we avoid passing the environmental, economical, and social political tipping points that will be the harbingers of our Apocalypse?

So the question really comes down to what position do we want to take?  How much are we willing to do to become a part of the solution rather than part of the problem?  As the sources of our demise become increasingly clear do we continue to walk the path of the Lemming off the cliff or do we stand up and start getting noticed?  The question is out there for all of us to answer.

Myself?  Every day I feel a constant tugging to do more and shout out everything I've learned to anyone that will listen.  So, it's time for me to start recording these thought's one by one in an attempt to organize my ideas for all the solutions to the problems of our day.

The beauty of it all is we already have very good solutions to just about every problem out there.  The only challenge we have is to keep spreading the knowledge and support for these solutions before it is too late.

And if we can manage to implement enough solutions in time, the world we can create together truly can become the Utopian dream that philosophers have been striving for since the beginnings of civilization.  For the first time in human history we actually have a chance to bring the world together in one purpose and virtually end hunger, war, poverty, and crime, as a simple side effect of saving our earth from environmental and economical apocalypse.  Sounds like the best win/win situation I've ever heard of.  Interested?  Then come along for the ride and let's make it happen together!
